Wish List #27 Christmas in July Dinner

Well, blogging everyday (I only missed a couple) for the last month has been fun, exhausting, challenging and I hope you enjoyed it too!

It gave me a chance to focus on a large number of my favourite things; and to share these with you throughout the whole month of July.

I had a lovely Christmas in July inspired dinner with my family last night.  Here's my turkey loaf and the table set festively with green and red.

Christmas in July table and Turkey Loaf

The turkey loaf was scrumptious and I promise to share the recipe tomorrow, but for now I'm exhausted so I'm going to have an early night!

So I hope you've enjoyed the last month of Wish List posts as much as I've enjoyed blogging and I'm hoping to report on some more projects during August.

Wish List #26 Dramatic Colour and Design

This is bolder than bold, a touch of glam and some wild thrown in! I'm talking about the images to inspire you to take your interior to the next level.

The reason for this is I'm getting ready for a few friends to drop by and watch the Lady Gaga concert tonight on GO! So I must dash off to attempt a wild hairstyle for tonight so enjoy the images....

Wish List #25 External Colour

Firstly on the Christmas in July Turkey front I wasn't able to get a Turkey from my local grocery store today, but on the weekend I plan to make a scrumptious Turkey loaf which I made last Christmas because we were away (we didn't have the usual weber) and it turned out fab!  I'll try and post the recipe and a pic on the weekend.

Now we are looking at giving our home a new coat of external paint and while I have some colours in mind it's also nice to take a look at some other ideas.  Here's what I found.

Wish List #25 Accent Colour

Using an accent colour can lift and brighten a room.  It can change the mood and you can easily change the accent pieces such as the cushions, rug or accessories to give the room a whole new look without changing the more expensive furniture and finishes in the room.
I've found some images that illustrate good use of an accent colour that lift and transform the room.

I love the red accent cushions that tie in wonderfully with the geometric print cushions and matching upholstered chair image decor pad

This fairly conservative room has been given new life with the hot pink accent which really brightens the room and gives it a fun girly feel image idealhomemagazine.co.uk
This is a really sophisticated room and depth has been created by the striking teal feature wall and matching upholstered cushioned chairs and accessories image griyakulo.com
More colour inspiration tomorrow!

This room incorporates so many elements that I love The rustic table, white chairs, striking stenciled floor, pendant lights and roman blinds.  The lightness of the room contrasts so well with the lush outdoor surroundings, image zuhairah-homeinteriordesign

I love bold and brave colour choices for the right room, so here's a sneek peek at the theme for the last week of my wish list posts - COLOUR!

Wish List #21 Ceiling Fans

I've just been having a lovely laze on the couches out on our back entertaining area and it was lovely to catch some Winter sun.  But we have a very rusty fan out there and by the time Summer comes we will be needing a fan to help with the heat.

So here's a few that might do the trick!
